BroadSoft Launches Enhanced Desktop Telephony Toolbar with Advanced Call Control Features; Desktop Toolbar Enables BroadWorks Users to Access Advanced Calling Features within Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer.

, Calif. -- BroadSoft, Inc., the leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced enhanced capabilities to its BroadWorks Assistant-Enterprise Toolbar A row or column of on-screen buttons used to activate functions in the application. Many toolbars are customizable, letting you add and delete buttons as required. Toolbars may be fixed in position or may float, which means they can be dragged to a more convenient location in the , a carrier-class desktop communications product for everyday users of Microsoft(R) Outlook(R) and Internet Explorer Microsoft's Web browser, which comes with Windows starting with Windows 98. Gateways are available to a variety of mail systems including X.400, PROFS and MHS. Microsoft Mail-enabled applications are written to the MAPI programming interface. Additional highlights include click-to-dial capability from the Outlook contact directory and Internet Explorer Web pages, three-way conferencing and caller identification.

BroadSoft acquired the integrated desktop toolbar product as part of its acquisition of CarbonTwelve, a software and multimedia applications developer based in Sydney, Australia, in September 2005. BroadSoft integrated the acquired company's client software applications into the company's BroadWorks VoIP client applications product line and has continued to enhance product functionality and expand its customer base.
