San Antonio is the second most populous city in Texas, the third most populous metropolitan area in Texas, and is the seventh most populous city in the United States. As of the 2006 U.S.
& PHOENIX -- BroadRamp Inc., inventor of the only seamless, universal multimedia content and application delivery platform, today formally launched its innovative CDS(TM) (Content Delivery System(TM)) solution, designed to convert existing content into rich multimedia and deliver it instantly, seamlessly and securely online, at a mere fraction of the cost of traditional media player offerings available today.

Originally conceived to deliver technical training content previously restricted to DVDs due to large file size, BroadRamp CDS converts any multimedia content and delivers it via a typical broadband connection See broadband and wireless broadband.  and a standard Internet browser See Web browser. . No longer must the user choose what media player to install, wait for that file to download, and oftentimes install plug-ins -- only to view low-resolution video segments in reduced-sized windows.

"By finally delivering any multimedia content instantaneously with an integrated application environment, CDS has achieved today what the industry anticipated would not be accomplished for years to come," stated Chief Scientific Officer and Founder Sean Darwish.

"BroadRamp's CDS brings something radically new to the market," said Greg Nakagawa, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of BroadRamp. "Users will enjoy a greatly enhanced Internet multimedia viewing experience with immediate launch time on a full screen at high resolution. Content providers are protected from piracy, and now have the capability of embedding two-way dynamic e-commerce applications, logic and interactivity in a single screen environment for stronger customer acquisition capabilities."

The CDS solution creates a virtual Internet hard drive, giving users instant access to any chapter or segment of a video stream, regardless of file size. The CDS embedded player communicates with the integrated plug-ins that are included as part of all typical Internet browsers, eliminating the need for a client media player. The CDS multimedia interface also enables user interactive functions, including fast-forward, pause, rewind, bookmark A stored location for quick retrieval at a later date. By eliminating the need for a third-party client media player, content providers are protected against unauthorized access and piracy of their intellectual property, and users are protected from hackers exploiting the media player as an intrusion point into their computer. BroadRamp's seven-layer security architecture, including a patented key code encryption process, prevents CDS content from being viewed or recorded without authorization.

At the core of BroadRamp's intellectual property are patented compression algorithms and modulation techniques that reduce digital video format file sizes by up to 90 percent. This is accomplished without losing video fidelity, to deliver full screen, high-quality video and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound An audio recording and playback system that uses five or more channels plus a subwoofer channel.
