BroadLogic Names Danial Faizullabhoy as President & CEO.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- BroadLogic Network Technologies, a supplier of groundbreaking technologies and products for wideband cable modems and video-processors for digital networks, today announced the appointment of Danial Faizullabhoy as president and CEO. With his successful track record of growing semiconductor and networking companies, Faizullabhoy will provide vision and drive the company.

Faizullabhoy comes to BroadLogic from venture capital firm Walden International where he served as a general partner. He has been the lead investor and on the board of directors in several investments at Walden International including Ikanos Communications, Infravio (acquired by WebMethods); Morphics (acquired by Infineon); and Invox (acquired by SanDisk) and Virtual Silicon Technology (acquired by Mosaid). He has also been lead investor and on the board of directors at AirTight Networks, Matisse Networks, and Sierra Atlantic.

Prior to Walden International, Faizullabhoy was vice president and general manager at Adaptec, Inc., where he had P&L responsibility for semiconductors in the peripheral and hard disk business unit. Faizullabhoy led multiple mergers and acquisitions for Adaptec, including the acquisitions of Sigmax and Skipstone, as well as the acquisition of business units from Western Digital (Hard Disk Controllers) and STMicroelectronics (Read Channel Semiconductors).
