The company's Engineering Polymers unit is launching 11 new grades for electrical/electronic and automotive applications and is bringing the Crastin trade name from Europe to North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

DuPont has produced PBT in Europe since 1993, when it acquired the business from Ciba-Geigy Corp. DuPont has marketed a limited range of 10 PBT grades in North America under the Rynite banner since 1990. These products are now part of the Crastin line, while Rynite henceforth refers only to PETs.

The Crastin roster includes seven new halogenated halogenated
