In order to accommodate its anticipated growth, rapidly expanding Brix Networks, a developer of products and services that verify Internet-based service level agreements (SLAs), today announced it has relocated its corporate headquarters to Chelmsford, Mass., approximately 25 miles northwest of Boston.

Occupying 31,000 square feet of space at 285 Mill Road, this new site is almost three times the size of the startup company's previous quarters in Billerica, Mass.

The standalone, two-story brick building is situated at the junctions of Routes 3 and 129, just south of Interstate 495, in the heart of the area's renowned high-tech region. Other technology companies with facilities in the vicinity include Aspect Communications (Nasdaq: ASPT), Astral Point Communications, Kronos, Inc. (Nasdaq: KRON), Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq: SUNW), and Sycamore Networks (Nasdaq: SCMR), among others.

The new location houses the company's customer support, engineering, finance and administration, manufacturing, marketing, research and development, and sales functions, and also includes new hardware, quality assurance, and test engineering labs, plus an on-site fitness center.

Brix currently has approximately 100 employees, and company officials said they have plans to double its work force in 2001.

With the Brix solutions, carriers and providers can now unlock the revenue potential of their networks and offer their customers high-value services -- such as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), streaming media, and hosted applications -- based on quality, instead of simply price.
