Industry Veteran Charles Giambalvo To Lead Growing Service Assurance And Performance Management Company's Global Field, Channel, And Support Efforts

Brix Networks (www.brixnet.com), the trusted provider of real-time service assurance solutions for real-time networks, today announced that Charles Giambalvo has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales and services. He reports to company president and CEO, Tom Pincince.

In this position, Giambalvo has overall responsibility for the growing company's global direct field sales efforts, indirect channel activities, and customer support endeavors.

Giambalvo, a 23-year industry veteran, joins Brix most recently from iBasis, Inc. (Nasdaq: IBAS), the leader in international Internet telephony, where, as senior vice president of worldwide sales, he was responsible for developing, implementing, and managing global sales strategies that helped increase revenue from $19 million to more than $133 million during his two-and-one-half-year tenure.

Previously, Giambalvo served as the president of VocalTec Communications, Inc., a company that helped pioneer commercial Internet Protocol (IP) telephony. Prior to that, Giambalvo was a vice president of sales at Stratus Computer, and earlier in his career served as senior vice president of sales and customer service at ECI Telecom, Inc.

Giambalvo has a Master's of Science degree in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from The New York Institute of Technology.
