Throughout its 14-year history the ceremony, which celebrates music of black origin, has featured masses of America acts but this time round, the Brits have a strong contingent. Ben Hudson, part of the energetic five-piece band Mr Hudson, is nominated in the Best UK Act category alongside the Londondominated sounds of Tinchy Stryder, Dizzee Rascal and N Dubz. The band was also shortlisted for Best Video for their recently-released single Supernova featuring American star Kanye West. |
