Brits set to 'scale back' hols.


ALMOST two-thirds of Britons are planning to scale back their summer holiday spending plans to save money during the economic downturn, according to according to

But the ComRes survey for the Independent on Sunday showed a surprising degree of optimism that the economy will start showing signs of improvement soon, with 39 per cent saying it will against 58 per cent disagreeing.

The survey found that 62 per cent of voters were planning a more frugal fru·gal
