Briton dies on river adventure holiday.


A 24-YEAR-OLD British man has died while canyoning Canyoning (known as canyoneering in the U.S.) is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling, and/or swimming.  on holiday with friends in France.

Vikram Reddy, reported to be a law student from Maidstone, Kent, died near the town of Tourrettsur-Loup, near Cannes.

He was canyoning on the River Loup loup

a bounding gait.
 when he is believed to have drowned in a whirlpool.

The daredevil sport involves riding along fastrunning streams and abseiling down waterfalls.
