Britney shells out $8.9 million on new LA mansion.

New Delhi New Delhi (dĕl`ē), city (1991 pop. 294,149), capital of India and of Delhi state, N central India, on the right bank of the Yamuna River. , January 15 (ANI): Pop diva Britney Spears has lifted some weight off her pocket by shelling 8.9 million dollars on her new home.

The pop princess spent the staggering amount on her Calabasas property, just outside LA, and is said to be in the middle of putting up her previous six-bedroom, six-bathroom home for 7.195 million dollars.

The 'Womanizer' hitmaker has already taken her sons Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, to see their new mansion.

She was moving the kids' toys and other items into the place, reports the China Daily.

The singer confirmed on her Twitter A Web site and service that lets users send short text messages from their cellphones to a group of friends. Launched in 2006, Twitter (www.twitter.com) was designed for people to broadcast their current activities and thoughts.  account: "I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can't wait to move in."

It had been previously stated, in the court papers filed by her father Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet last year, that Britney wanted to shift to "a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighbourhood" that would be "more accessible to parks and recreation areas" for her kids. (ANI)
