British plant joins the fold as cardboard giant expands into Cheshire; IN ASSOCIATION WITH Rensburg Sheppards.


CARDBOARD giant Progroup says the opening of its new plant, in Ellesmere Port Ellesmere Port, town and district (1991 pop. 78,800), Cheshire, W central England. Ellesmere Port, located on the Manchester Ship Canal near its junction with the Shropshire Union Canal and the entrance into the Mersey estuary, is the principal town of the district. , makes it the fastest-growing corrugated board Noun 1. corrugated board - cardboard with corrugations (can be glued to flat cardboard on one or both sides)

Production started last week at the Cheshire plant, run by English subsidiary Prowell.

The plant has created 50 jobs at the town's Pioneer Business Park and will produce 85,000 tons of corrugated board a year.

Progroup, which is based in Offenbach, southern Germany, has seven card factories in Europe.
