 Albertsons Albertsons is a brand name currently used by two separate companies due to the 2006 split of Albertsons, Inc.:
  • New Albertsons, Inc., a subsidiary of Supervalu and the owner of the Albertsons brand, operating in Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming,
 market in Glassell Park, an indication that it intends to build bigger stores than first expected. The 32,500-square-foot location will be among the first of a group that the world's third-largest retailer will open on the West Coast next year. Tesco said this month that it would invest about $470 million to enter the West Coast with a new format designed for the American market.
