British heavyweight Lewis heads Hall of Fame honorees


Three-time heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis Lennox Claudius Lewis CBE (born September 2 1965 in West Ham, London, England) is a retired professional boxer who represented Canada in the Olympics and fought under the British flag as a professional. He is a former undisputed lineal heavyweight champion.  headlines the 2009 class of the International Boxing Hall of Fame The modern International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) is located in Canastota, New York, United States, within driving distance from the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown and the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta.  announced here on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old retired in 2003 with a record of 41-2-1, including 32 KOs.

The Briton enters the hall in his first year of eligibility.

Joining Lewis are American bantamweight ban·tam·weight
