 on Tuesday said the Taliban would be defeated despite their deadly terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.

He was speaking at a press conference here after his meeting with British and Afghan soldiers in the southern province of Helmand on Tuesday.

To a question about the ongoing operation in Helmand, he said harmony between the British and US forces was growing which would serve a positive strategy in defeating the Taliban in that region.

"This is a right option to be pursued for establishing a durable security in Helmand," he said.
