British IT Firm Opens Office in Chevy Chase, Maryland; Move Marks Milestone for Greater Washington Initiative.


WASHINGTON -- Tessella Support Services plc, a British information technology company, has expanded into the region with the opening of Tessella Inc. in Chevy Chase, Maryland Chevy Chase is the name of both a town and an unincorporated Census-Designated Place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Maryland. In addition, a number of villages in the same area of Montgomery County include "Chevy Chase" in their names. . Tessella is the 20th company brought to the region this year by the Greater Washington Initiative (www.greaterwashington.org).

Tessella (www.tessella.com) is part of the Lockheed Martin team that last week won a $308 million, six-year contract to build the Electronic Records Archives system for the National Archives and Records Administration.
