British FM slams Ahmadinejad''s Holocaust dismissal as "abhorrent, ignorant".
LONDON, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on
Friday slammed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's dismissal of the
Holocaust Holocaust (hŏl`əkôst', hō`lə–), name given to the period of persecution and extermination of European Jews by Nazi Germany. as "abhorrent as well as ignorant."
"President Ahmadinejad's repeated denials of the Holocaust are abhorrent,
as well as ignorant. It is very important that the world community stands up
against this tide of abuse," Miliband said in a statement. Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust was a "myth" as he addressed the annual Quds
Day rally in Tehran, reiterating comments that have previously sparked outrage
around the world. "Iran's people have a great history and culture. I cannot believe that the
