British FM slams Ahmadinejad''s Holocaust dismissal as "abhorrent, ignorant".

LONDON, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on

Friday slammed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's dismissal of the

Holocaust Holocaust (hŏl`əkôst', hō`lə–), name given to the period of persecution and extermination of European Jews by Nazi Germany.  as "abhorrent as well as ignorant."

"President Ahmadinejad's repeated denials of the Holocaust are abhorrent,

as well as ignorant. It is very important that the world community stands up

against this tide of abuse," Miliband said in a statement. Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust was a "myth" as he addressed the annual Quds

Day rally in Tehran, reiterating comments that have previously sparked outrage

around the world. "Iran's people have a great history and culture. I cannot believe that the

focus on the future," The British top diplomat noted, adding that coincidence

of today's comments with the start of Jewish New Year "only adds to the insult."

"The very existence of this regime is an insult to the dignity of the

people. They (Western powers) launched the myth of the Holocaust. They lied,

they put on a show and then they support the Jews Jews [from Judah], traditionally, descendants of Judah, the fourth son of Jacob, whose tribe, with that of his half brother Benjamin, made up the kingdom of Judah; historically, members of the worldwide community of adherents to Judaism. ," Ahmadinejad addressed a

crowd at University of Tehran earlier today.
