Brite to Provide Prepaid Managed Services to U S West Wireless.

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1998--U S WEST Wireless (NYSE:USW) has chosen Brite Voice Systems (Nasdaq:BVSI) to supply BriteDebit prepaid calling for its personal communications services (PCS) under a two-year contract announced today. This new prepaid service was launched initially in the Phoenix/Tucson market on November 23 and will be extended to the remainder of the U S WEST Wireless markets, including Denver, Seattle, Portland, and Minneapolis, in the near future.

Brite is providing BriteDebit to U S WEST Wireless as a turnkey managed service. Under this unique service, called BriteCare, Brite assists U S WEST with all aspects of the prepaid service, including database management, rate and service plan management, customer service questions and monitoring system operations.
