Britain's Thatcher has successful arm operation: son

Baroness Thatcher's daughter Carol is recovering from eye surgery but has also visited her mother.

She spent a night in hospital in March last year after feeling unwell during dinner with friends.

But she has been spotted out and about recently -- last week, she celebrated the 30th anniversary of her first election victory at a London club.
