, software tools.

LexiQuest's product will provide Bristol-Myers Squibb with a search system for the 5,000 knowledge workers using the intranet of the company's Pharmaceutical Research Institute. Incorporating proprietary Language Recognition technology, LexiQuest Guide enables searching based on everyday language, improving the overall ease of use of the site.

In addition, by performing both a semantic and syntactic analysis of a query, LexiQuest's Guide is able to achieve a 300%-400% improvement in search accuracy over traditional keyword or Boolean-based searching ensuring that only relevant information is returned. Implementation of the system began in early October with a complete deployment expected in early January.

To accommodate the highly specialized language used in pharmaceutical research and development, a team of linguists from both Bristol-Myers Squibb and LexiQuest will collaborate on the development of a unique lexicon (dictionary) for the pharmaceutical industry using LexiQuest's Build product to facilitate the creation of the new semantic network (data) semantic network - A graph consisting of nodes that represent physical or conceptual objects and arcs that describe the relationship between the nodes, resulting in something like a data flow diagram. . Work on the dictionary has begun using existing LexiQuest lexicons and is expected to finish by the end of the year.

"The volume of available information today is a boon to researchers everywhere, yet without the ability to rapidly locate the relevant pieces, the search process itself has become a time consuming and frustrating exercise," said Stephen Highcock, Director of Integration Resources for Bristol-Myers Squibb. "By utilizing the technology from LexiQuest, we anticipate an immediate time savings in this critical task, reducing the overall development cycle and improving our time to market."

"This contract is an example of the power of Language Recognition technology in helping firms efficiently compete in today's information economy," said Bruno Henry, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
