Bringing more than heat.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

BRENNAN G. PROCTOR LOVES SPICY, HOT DISHES, BUT HE ALSO LIKES his meals with lots of flavor. That's why he was often frustrated with popular vinegar-based hot sauces that provided heat but little else to savor. His dissatisfaction became the inspiration for Uncle Brotha's Gourmet Hot Sauce, an "all sauce" which he offers at two zesty levels: Fire Sauce No. 9, his twist on salsa verde with serrano chili peppers and ginger, offers a sweet kick to a variety of dishes and sauces for poultry, seafood, and vegetables. Fire Sauce No. 10 is an intense award-winning red sauce of four peppers (habanero, red and green jalapenos, and serrano), and garlic perfect for grilling and other hearty preparations. Proctor, whose image graces his bottles, comes from a family of men who enjoy cooking. Aside from purchasing his sauce online (www.unclebrutha. corn), foodies will also enjoy several of his favorite recipes. Five-ounce bottles retail at $6.99.
