Brightstar Europe Appoints Rod Millar as President.

 Corp., the world's largest wireless distribution and supply chain solutions company, announced today that Brightstar Europe, a joint venture between Tech Data Corporation and Brightstar Corp., has appointed Rod Millar as its president.

In February, Brightstar announced plans to expand operations into Europe through a joint venture with Tech Data, a leading distributor of IT products, with more than 90,000 customers in over 100 countries. The joint venture creates the only pan-European wireless distribution organization, with operations in 16 countries and capability to ship products within 24 hours of order anywhere in Europe.

As the former managing director of a leading UK mobile distributor, Millar brings vast experience and relationships to his role as president of the new entity. Millar will be focusing on launch and operations in all countries except the UK and France, which will be managed until October by R. Marcelo Claure, president, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  & Chairman of Brightstar Corp.
