Under the agreement, Brightpoint will provide distribution services in the Swedish market related to PKD's Haukka 3000, a wireless remote monitoring (protocol) remote monitoring - (RMON) A network management protocol that allows network information to be gathered at a single computer. Whereas SNMP gathers network data from a single type of Management Information Base (MIB), RMON 1 defines nine additional MIBs that provide a  device that uses GSM technology.

PKD Telecom AS is a Norwegian company that provides integrated telecommunication solutions. PKD's Haukka 3000 is a remote monitoring device that uses GSM technology to send data messages to signal alarms for fires, break-ins, or other casualties. The Haukka 3000 may also be used to control a variety of devices such as heating systems.
