Brightpoint Enters Into Integrated Services Agreement With TCS in Brazil.

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2000

Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that its Brazilian subsidiary, Brightpoint do Brasil Ltda., has entered into an agreement with Tele Celular Sul Participacoes S.A. ("TCS")(NYSE:TSU)(BOVESPA:TCLS3) (BOVESPA:TCLS4)("TCS"), the holding company of Telepar Celular S.A., Telesc Celular S.A. and CTMR Celular S.A., which are all leading providers of cellular telecommunications services in southern Brazil. Under the agreement Brightpoint will provide TCS with product acquisition, warehousing, shipping, order fulfillment and other integrated logistics services.

TCS, by combining Telepar Celular, Telesc Celular and CTMR Celular to operate on the mobile telecomunications band A in Parana, Santa Catarina and in the region of Pelotas (RS) has added its leading edge technology to the largest experience in mobile telecommunications services in Southern Brazil. TCS is controlled by Telecom Italia Mobile ("TIM"). TIM is the largest mobile telephone services provider in Europe and one of the largest in the world, serving over 32 million customers in 14 countries.
