Brightpoint Announces Courts Approval of Settlement and Dismissal of Shareholder Lawsuits.

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2003

Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that the courts have approved the settlements referred to in the Company's press release dated April 30, 2003, and have dismissed all pending shareholder related litigation against the Company and others, including its current and former officers and directors.

Today, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana has approved the settlement and dismissal of the class action filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, consolidated under the caption In re Brightpoint Securities Litigation. On July 2, 2003, the Marion Circuit Court, Indianapolis, Indiana approved the settlement and dismissal of the shareholder derivative action derivative action n. a lawsuit brought by a corporation shareholder against the directors, management and/or other shareholders of the corporation, for a failure by management. In effect, the suing shareholder claims to be acting on behalf of the corporation, because the directors and management are failing to exercise their authority for the benefit of the company and all of its shareholders. entitled Nora Lee v. Robert J. Laikin, et al., filed in the Marion Circuit Court, Indianapolis, Indiana.
