CHARLES Duff will tomorrow bring to life the figure of Plas Newydd's Honourable Steven Tennant, poet, artist, novelist and aesthete aes·thete or es·thete

During the twenties and thirties, Tennant was a member of the Bright Young Things. His friends included Rex Whistler, who had a strong association with Plas Newydd.

Charles Duff, a nephew of the present Lord Anglesey whose home is Plas Newydd, will perform a monologue, written by Hugo Vickers, based on Tennant's life.

Hugo Vickers is a writer, broadcaster and commentator on the Royal Family. In creating this monologue he draws upon an extensive archive of unpublished material documenting Tennant's relationship and work.

Charles Duff was raised on the Faenol Estate near Bangor. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic The Bristol Old Vic (located at ) is a theatre complex and theatrical company in the centre of Bristol, England. The complex includes the 1766 Theatre Royal, which claims to be the oldest continually-operating theatre in England, along with a 1970s studio theatre, offices  Theatre School and was a full-time actor for a decade until he began to teach in the major London drama schools, while still maintaining his professional work.
