Brighouse volunteer centre opens.An agency aimed at putting organisations and volunteers in touch with each other has opened a new centre in Brighouse. Voluntary Action Calderdale opened the Brighouse Volunteer Centre in the Salvation Army Salvation Army, Protestant denomination and international nonsectarian Christian organization for evangelical and philanthropic work. Organization and Beliefs The Salvation Army has established branches in 100 countries throughout the world. centre at King Street on Monday. The office will be staffed between 1pm and 3pm every Monday. It offers people the chance to find out about volunteering without having to go to Halifax.
