Brig (Retd) Imtiaz refutes reports on tendering any apology to President Zardari.

ISLAMABAD, September 06, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Former DG IB Brig (Retd) Imtiaz Ahmad has said he has not sought pardon from any one during his eight years of detention adding there is no substance in reports about tendering any apology on his part to president Asif Ali Zardari nor he is in contact with MQM. In his exclusive talks with Online Tuesday he said an anchor person of private TV channel had brought baseless allegation against him that he had apologized to president Asif Ali Zardari in NAB court in his presence. I have also been accused that I am maintaining connections with MQM since 1993. When differences developed between Nawaz Sharif and MQM I had not played role of any mediator nor I was in any such position. Saif ur Rehman had played the role of mediator. As far as extending apology to president Asif Ali Zardari is concerned, I want to make it clear to keep the record straight I happened to meet Asif Ali Zardari in the corridor of NAB court Rawalpindi, 7 or 8 years before, then no talks were held except exchange of dua salam, he remarked.
