Briefly.Byline: The Register-Guard Pacific Continental announces dividend of 9 cents a share Eugene-based Pacific Continental Corp., the parent of Pacific Continental Bank, said it will pay a dividend of 9 cents a share for the third consecutive quarter. The dividend, payable on Sept. 15 to shareholders of record on Aug. 29, was boosted in February from 8 cents a share. Over a year's time, the dividend, if maintained, would equal 36 cents a share, compared with 32 cents a share last year. Abby's Legendary Pizza opens Pendleton restaurant PENDLETON - Abby's Legendary Pizza on Thursday opened a restaurant in Pendleton, its first in the Northeast Oregon town. Eugene-based Abby's picked Pendleton, population 16,600, to expand because it does well in small-to-medium sized towns, said Abby's Marketing Director Doug Phillips. Abby's bought and renovated a vacant pizza restaurant for an undisclosed amount. The Abby's outlet, which will employ about 30 people, will give Abby's 34 restaurants in Oregon and Washington. The new restaurant is the first for Abby's since 2001, when it opened an outlet in Dallas, population 12,650. |
