* Leave Me Alone, I'm Reading by Maureen Corrigan (Random House, 2005): This memoir by National Public Radio's book critic tells of a life influenced by constant reading and a Catholic upbringing.

* Writing to Change the World by Mary Pipher (Riverhead, 2006): The author of Reviving Ophelia on the power of writing to bring about positive change.

* The Soul Tells a Story by Vinita Hampton Wright (InterVarsity, 2005): Argues that creative work is soul work.
