Henri Hen·ri   , Robert 1865-1929.

American painter whose realistic works aligned him with a group of painters, known as the Eight, or the Ashcan School, who decried the artificiality and sentimentality of American painting at the turn of the century.
 J.M. Nouwen may be one of the most prolific spiritual writers, both before and since his death. In the decade since he died on Sept. 21, 1996, his name has graced dozens of books. The most recent include:

* Spiritual Direction: Wisdom for the Long Walk of Faith (HarperSanFrancisco, 2006)

* Love in a Fearful Land: A Guatemalan Story (Orbis, 2006)

* With Open Hands (Ave Maria Ave Maria (ä`vā märē`ä) [Lat.,=hail, Mary], prayer to the Virgin Mary universal among Roman Catholics, also called the Ave, the Hail Mary, and the Angelic Salutation. , 2005)

* My Sister, My Brother: Life Together in Christ (Word Among Us, 2006)

* The Dance of Life: Weaving weaving, the art of forming a fabric by interlacing at right angles two or more sets of yarn or other material. It is one of the most ancient fundamental arts, as indicated by archaeological evidence.  Sorrows and Blessings into One Joyful joy·ful
