Its first year has demonstrated the influence that a partnership can have. Thanks to the joint committee, a program is underway that allows professionals to enter college classrooms and share the benefits of NRPA membership to students. Also, fundraisers like the APRS APRS Automatic Position Reporting System APRS Automatic Packet Reporting System (GPS technology) APRS Automated Position Reporting System APRS Amateur Position Reporting System APRS American Parks and Recreation Society Silent Auction allow the branch to raise money for a variety of student projects. The APRS/SB Joint Committee has set an excellent example for additional partnerships within NRPA. Everyone has been a student, so everyone can relate to the individuals in the Student Branch. By sharing what you have learned with the next generation of leaders, you can make a difference far beyond your everyday range of influence. Students are involved in NRPA to enhance their education and learn something outside the classroom.
