Plans are to build the plant in the Hibikinada Industrial Area in Kitakyushu Kitakyushu (kētä`kysh), city (1990 pop. 1,026,455), Fukuoka prefecture, N Kyushu, Japan, on the Shimonoseki Strait between the Inland Sea and the Korea Strait., Fukuoka Fukuoka (fk`ōkä), city (1990 pop. 1,237,062), capital of Fukuoka prefecture, N Kyushu, Japan, on Hakata Bay. Prefecture.
