Bridgestone Metalpha.Bridgestone Metalpha, a subsidiary of Bridgestone, announced it will construct a steel cord manufacturing facility in Clarksville Clarksville, city (1990 pop. 75,494), seat of Montgomery co., NW Tenn., on the Cumberland and Red rivers, in a farm, livestock, and tobacco region; platted 1784, inc. as a city 1855. It is a market and processing center for dark and burley tobacco. , TN at a projected cost of approximately $130 million.
