Bridgestone Metalpha.


Bridgestone Metalpha, a subsidiary of Bridgestone, announced it will construct a steel cord manufacturing facility in Clarksville Clarksville, city (1990 pop. 75,494), seat of Montgomery co., NW Tenn., on the Cumberland and Red rivers, in a farm, livestock, and tobacco region; platted 1784, inc. as a city 1855. It is a market and processing center for dark and burley tobacco. , TN at a projected cost of approximately $130 million. The investment will be the first by a Japanese Japanese (jăp'ənēz`), language of uncertain origin that is spoken by more than 125 million people, most of whom live in Japan. There are also many speakers of Japanese in the Ryukyu Islands, Korea, Taiwan, parts of the United States, and  company in Clarksville. Bridgestone Metalpha U.S.A. has secured an 85-acre site on which it plans to build a factory with approximately 500,000 square feet of floorspace.
