Bridgestone/Firestone is expanding its Warren City, TN, radial truck and bus tire plant by 76%, costing the company about $110 million. Actual construction will cost $14 million, with the remaining money used for purchasing equipment and installation. When completed by the end of 1995, it will boost daily production to 4,400 units per day and increase employment by 110. Current employment is 530 and capacity is 2,500 units/day. The current 1.2 million square-foot plant will grow by an additional 198,000 sq. ft.
