Under the terms of the agreement, Inacom is providing Life Cycle Services support during and after Bridgestone/Firestone's enterprisewide roll-out of a standard application set based on Microsoft Office Microsoft's primary desktop applications for Windows and Mac. Depending on the package, it includes some combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook along with various Internet and other utilities. (tm) and SAP(tm) systems, aimed at securing the company's network environment and enabling rapid reaction to Year 2000 challenges. Bridgestone/Firestone is also outsourcing support of its multilingual SPOC to Inacom.

In addition to consolidating applications and installing new networks, servers and desktops to prepare for Year 2000 challenges, Bridgestone/Firestone invested in additional infrastructure that allowed the on-site Inacom team to be as proactive as possible.
