BridgePort Networks' IMS Voice Call Handover between GSM and Wi-Fi Networks Now Supported by 15 Handsets.


BARCELONA -- BridgePort Networks, the leader in MobileVoIP convergence, announced gathering momentum in its Device Developers' Program.

Today BridgePort Networks is announcing that 15 current GSM/Wi-Fi or UMTS/Wi-Fi dual mode handsets are interoperable and support seamless voice call handover between networks with the NomadicONE product family. Additionally at the current time, five more devices are planned to be supported during 2007.

The list of interoperability partners addresses dual mode handsets from three of the top four global handset suppliers.

Current partners include, but are not limited to: E28, Paragon Wireless, PCTEL and PicoMobile.

Many of these devices are being demonstrated at 3GSM World Congress by BridgePort Networks' partners, either publicly or in private meetings.
