Bride is a real prize for Gary.


A Stockton photographer has snapped up a top award for his contemporary wedding pictures.

Gary Walsh Gary Walsh may refer to one of the following:
  • Gary Walsh (English footballer), the retired goalkeeper (b. 1968)
  • Gary Walsh (Irish footballer), the former Celtic F.C. youngster, currently playing with Irish side Kildare County FC (b. 1987)
, who owns a studio on Norton High Street, walked away with the British Photographer Wedding Award 2004 at the British Professional Photography Awards.

The prestigious event, held at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry, was attended by some of the top names in the photographic industry and Gary received his award from former Bond girl Honor Blackman Honor Blackman (born 22 August 1925[1]) is an English actress, who is best known for the roles of Cathy Gale on The Avengers and as Bond girl Pussy Galore in Goldfinger. .

One of the judges said Gary's wedding image captured the "spontaneous spontaneous /spon·ta·ne·ous/ (spon-ta´ne-us)

Chairman of the judging panel, Dennis Hylander, added: "The overall standards were extremely high and to win any of the UK categories is a tremendous accolade."

Gary said he was proud to win such a top photography award.

An annual exhibition, comprising of the winning images from the competition, will be travelling to a number of countries over the next 12 months.

The accolade is the latest for the Teesside photographer. In May he scooped two awards in this year's Master Photographers Association competition.
