Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute (Tampa, FL) will use ProjectCenter(R) (from BricsNet subsidiary EVOLV) for Web-based project collaboration to expand the world-class H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Center. The new $120 million clinical research facility will include more than forty-eight new state-of-the-art research laboratories, an infusion center for the administering of chemo therapy, and a full conference center with a 300-seat auditorium. ProjectCenter will provide the project team with real-time secure access to critical architectural and engineering information.

The project team includes onsite project managers, architects NBBJ (Columbus, OH and San Francisco, CA) and Hunton Brady Pryor Maso (Orlando, FL), as well as structural/civil and mechanical/electrical/ plumbing engineering firms. In total, the project team is comprised of more than sixty geographically-dispersed members.

Conceptual design for the cancer research center began in December 1999; construction site work will begin in July 2000; and construction documents will be completed by May 2001. The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2003.

ProjectCenter is available for $199 (US) per month per project. This monthly fee includes an unlimited number of users, up to 250 MB of disk storage, unlimited email technical support, and access to the ProjectCenter discussion group. Unlimited storage is available for $489 (US) per month.
