With "Back At One," a Song Which He Wrote and Produced.

In addition to being the highest chart position Brian has achieved on the Hot 100 Singles Chart, "Back At One" sets a new record on Billboard's chart by being the highest chart position for an album cut, the song was never a commercial single release. This record was previously set by Lou Bega ("Mambo No. 5") and Smash Mouth ("All Star") which both peaked at No. 4.

Brian is also garnering success with his new album of the same name, which holds strong in the Top Twenty on Billboard's Hot 200 Albums Chart. BACK AT ONE went Platinum in three weeks and is quickly on its way to Double Platinum status. In addition to writing the title cut, Brian wrote and produced most of the songs on the album, as well as played most of the instruments.

Indeed, in a period just short of a decade, Brian's creative output has been relentless. His first album, 1992's BRIAN McKNIGHT, which featured the classic ballad, "One Last Cry," and 1995's I REMEMBER YOU, including the sterling cover of Van Morrison's "Crazy Love," both achieved platinum status.
