Brian Henson and Stephanie Allain to Chat on Entertainment Tonight Online
The Company's First Feature Film Release 'Buddy'
LOS ANGELES, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Henson, President and CEO, Jim Henson Productions and Stephanie Allain, President of Production, Jim Henson Pictures will participate in an online chat this Wednesday, June 4th at 5:00 p.m. (PST) to discuss the launch of the new Jim Henson Pictures label and the company's first film release, "Buddy," set to open nationwide June 6th. Visitors may access the chat and download the 16 second animated logo through Entertainment Tonight Online at ET.MSN.COM.
Jim Henson Pictures, an all-new family film label that will create unique, adventurous films for all ages, recently unveiled its new animated logo featuring world-famous entertainer Kermit the Frog operating a movie camera, high atop a crane. While logged on to the Entertainment Tonight site, chat participants will be able to download the logo for the first time. They will also have the opportunity to chat with Henson and Allain about the new label and Jim Henson Pictures' slate of feature films, including "Buddy."
Based on the life of Gertrude Lintz, an eccentric 1920's socialite who raises a gorilla as her son, "Buddy" is the first release from Jim Henson Pictures and stars Rene Russo, Robbie Coltrane and Alan Cumming. The film is directed and written by Caroline Thompson. Henson, Allain and Francis Ford Coppola serve as Executive Producers.
Jim Henson Pictures was created by Jim Henson Productions and Sony Pictures Entertainment in July, 1995. Headquartered in Los Angeles, its films will be released through the Columbia Tristar distribution pipeline.
