has joined the company as a member of Technical Advisory Board. Mr. Bailey will provide guidance for Poseidon's high-level simulation, optimization, and acceleration tools for processor-based platforms.

Mr. Bailey has over 20 years of EDA industry experience. Presently he is an independent consultant. Prior to this position, he was Chief Technologist at Mentor Graphics Mentor Graphics, Inc (NASDAQ: MENT) is a US-based multinational corporation dealing in electronic design automation (EDA) for electrical engineering and electronics, as of 2004, ranked third in the EDA industry it helped create. , where he has been responsible for RTL (Register Transfer Level) A high-level hardware description language (HDL) for defining digital circuits. The circuits are described as a collection of registers, Boolean equations, control logic such as "if-then-else" statements as well as complex event sequences;  simulation, mixed signal simulation, emulation, and hardware/software co-simulation. Mr. Bailey is also considered an industry expert and a visionary in ESL technology. He is a renowned public speaker having presented countless tutorials and seminars around the world, is a popular invited speaker at many events including keynote speeches on a number of occasions. He has appeared on, and moderated panels at all of the major conferences for EDA industry.

"I have been working in the area of high level verification and ESL for the last twenty years TWENTY YEARS. The lapse of twenty years raises a presumption of certain facts, and after such a time, the party against whom the presumption has been raised, will be required to prove a negative to establish his rights.

, and I was attracted to Poseidon based on their complimentary technology," said Mr. Bailey. "Having had the chance to understand Poseidon Tuner and Builder in more depth, I am convinced these solutions are paramount for reducing power consumption, reducing design cycle, and the cost of hardware/software partitioning."

"Bringing Brian on Technical Advisory Board is representative of the long-term investment Poseidon is making in the area of ESL and processor-based high level verification," said Ravi Janak president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Poseidon Design Systems.

"Brian will utilize his ESL expertise and his proven track record, to help Poseidon with the strategic positioning of advanced system-level design products, review current and future product development, offering insight into technology trends and potential research collaborations," he added.

Bailey holds two patents in the area of functional verification Functional verification, in electronic design automation, is the task of verifying that the logic design conforms to specification. In everyday terms, functional verification attempts to answer the question "Does this proposed design do what is intended?" This is a complex task,  and has more pending. He holds a 1st class honors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Brunel University in England.
