Laura Ellen Brewer of Hickory Withe, Tennessee, and Brandon Currie Jones of Pascagoula were married on March 9, 2002, at Colonial Park United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. The 6 p.m. service was performed by the Reverends John Hendrix and Jack Moore.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marsden Edward Brewer, Jr. of Hickory Withe, Tennessee. She is the granddaughter of Mr. James H. Leonard and the late Mrs. Dolores Leonard of Memphis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marsden Edward Brewer of Memphis.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rawi Jones of Pascagoula. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Jones and the late Mr. Edward Ralph Jones of Gainesville, Georgia, and Mrs. Gustava Neville and the late Mr. Edwin Joseph Neville of Hurley.

Presenting a program of nuptial music before the ceremony were violinist Collin Napier, cousin of the bride, and Gregory Luce, pianist Bryce Napier, cousin of the bride, and Lee Jones. A recording of the bride's late grandmother, Mrs. Dolores Leonard, singing "I Know that My Redeemer Liveth" was played during the seating of the grandparents.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a dress of ivory satin. Beads and pearls accented the fitted bodice. The A-line skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. The gown was accented by a beaded fingertip-length veil which was custom-designed by Amy Collins. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of calla lilies and roses. The bride wore a pearl bracelet, a gift from the groom.

Maid of honor was Leigh Anne Brewer, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Etta Jones, sister of the groom; Jennifer Bush; Grace Collins; Leah Jones; Meredith McGraw; Christy Piersant; Shannon Potts; and Tori Thames.

Attendants wore dresses of navy-blue matte satin with full-length skirts and matching wraps. They carried hand-tied clutch bouquets of apricot and coral roses.

The groom's father, Edward Jones, served as best man. Groomsmen were Derek Easley, Matt Eichelberger, Richard Jenkins, Jeff Mize, Brett Stevens, William Tootle, Jeff Walton, and Greg Young. Ushers were Chad Brewer, brother of the bride; Graham Carner; Spencer Reedy; and Matt Walker.

Davis Napier, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer. He carried a French hand-sewn pillow used at the wedding of the groom's parents 28 years before.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Memphis Botanic Garden. The Blue Note Band provided music at the reception. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Rialto in downtown Memphis.

Following a honeymoon in Bermuda, the couple is at home in Madison, Georgia, where the bride is a master's student in nutrition at the University of Georgia and the groom is a law student at Mercer University.
