The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gann Brewer. She is the granddaughter of James Brewer and the late Mrs. Verna Claire Brewer of Senatobia, John Lundy and the late Mrs. Iris Lundy of Indianola, and the late Frank Moore Buchanan.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Bottoms of Clarksville, Tennessee; Bertha Helton of Crab Orchard, Kentucky Crab Orchard is a city in Lincoln County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 842 at the 2000 census. History
Crab Orchard was near the end of the Logan Trace of the Wilderness Road and was an early pioneer station.

The officers who are judge advocates and counsel assigned to the accused come from the office of the judge advocate  officer and the groom is a chaplain.
