Brett Newbold Joins Mohomine as CEO; Former Oracle and Open Text Executive to Lead Text Integration Efforts.

Mohomine Inc., a leading provider of software for integrating text into enterprise applications, today announced that Brett Newbold has assumed the role of chief executive officer.

Newbold replaces co-founder and CEO Neil Senturia, who will stay on with the company as executive chairman. Well-known and respected in the software development industry, Newbold has had significant development and operations experience at major software innovators working in large-scale text retrireview and knowledge management. He has most recently been working as an executive consultant for Kleiner Perkins, Saba Software, Entelagent Software and others. Prior to that, he was president and COO of Open Text Corp. (Nasdaq:OTEX), where he was instrumental in tripling revenue and stock price in less than two years. The company became profitable for the first time within the first two quarters of his tenure, as it led the evolution of document management from traditional client/server applications to powerful Web-based solutions and corporate intranets.

Before Open Text, Newbold served as vice president of R&D at Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq:ORCL). At Oracle, Newbold designed and managed the development of the first text management system within a relational database. He also designed and managed the world's first personal news system to automatically categorize text and deliver real-time news matching the profile of the individual subscriber. The product was delivered in partnership with CNN.

Fluent in French and Spanish, with a working knowledge of German, Italian and Japanese, Newbold has extensive international experience as well, having served as European managing director of ALP Systems and Lexpertise Linguistic Software. He holds a B.S. in physics from the University of Washington.
