IXOS SOFTWARE AG, (NEUER MARKT:XOS) (Nasdaq:XOSY), a leading supplier of solutions for the management of eBusiness documents in inter-enterprise system environments, today announced the appointment of Bret A. Lessman as vice president for Organizational Development.

At IXOS, Bret A. Lessman will be responsible for the efficient management of organizational structures and processes as well as strategic planning for IXOS SOFTWARE AG. The IXOS organization has reached an international stature that makes organizational structures and processes an essential basis for the next phase of development.

Born in the U.S., Bret A. Lessman concentrated on organizational development and human resources early in his career. During his 17-year managerial career with Hewlett Packard, he gathered valuable experience and management skills in controlling, marketing, sales, finance, human resources and training. These skills primed Lessman well for his responsibility as Head of International Human Resources/Organizational Development from 1991 to 1996 at Hewlett Packard. From 1996 to mid-2000, he held similar responsibilities as vice president of Siemens AG.

Bret A. Lessman, who earned his Master's degree in management at the University of Colorado, stated, "This position as vice president for Organizational Development represents a very interesting challenge for me.
