Brent Hensley appointed president and general manager of KHBS-TV and KHOG-TV.


LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--Brent Hensley has been appointed president and general manager of KHBS-TV, the ABC ABC
 in full American Broadcasting Co.

Major U.S. television network. It began when the expanding national radio network NBC split into the separate Red and Blue networks in 1928.
 affiliate in Fort Smith, Ark., and its satellite station, KHOG-TV in Fayetteville, Ark.

The announcement was made Monday by Blake Byrne, president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hensley comes to KHBS and KHOG from Argyle's KOCO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City, where he has served as vice president and general sales manager since 1991.

He worked his way up through the ranks at KOCO KOCO Kenwood-Oakland Community Organization (Chicago, Illinois) , serving as both national sales manager and local sales manager before assuming his current position. Prior to that he worked as national sales manager at KSLA-TV in Shreveport, La., and also had stints at KTVY-TV and WKY Radio in Oklahoma City.

A native of Oklahoma, Hensley holds a B.S. from Oklahoma State University Oklahoma State University, at Stillwater; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1890, opened 1891 as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1957. . He has been active in various broadcast industry and community organizations, including AWRT AWRT American Women in Radio and Television , the Oklahoma City Advertising Club and the All Sports Assoc. He currently sits on the ABC Network sales advisory board.

In addition, he has been a volunteer with United Way of Oklahoma City, serving for two years on their resource allocation committee. Hensley and his wife, DeeAnn, have two children.
