Robert S. Brenner, chairman of Brenner Business Interior, a business facilities and services company, has named Joseph T. Palombi, 49, president and chief executive officer of the Newark-based firm. He is the first to hold such a position at Brenner.

Well-known throughout the Greater New York area as a major force behind the national expansion of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., and more recently as a senior executive at Julien J. Studley, Inc., Palombi brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, managment, strategic planning and acquisitions within real estate and its related fields to his position at Brenner.

Palombi is already at work on a new direction for Brenner and is focusing on four main areas: increasing market share, aggressively building the firm's New York City operations, increasing the scope and the sophistication of services delivered to clients, and working with the firm's already strong sales organization to bring it to its fullest potential.

Most recently, he was executive vice president of Julien J. Studley, Inc., the national real estate services company headquartered in New York City, where he participated in the expansion of the firm, particularly in the New York area. He served as liaison between senior management and the firm's extensive brokerage operations and implemented marketing programs increasing corporate revenues by 55 percent in three years.

Palombi is also well known for his 13 years of service with Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., where he was instrumental in planing the full-services real estate national expansion program, resulting in the opening of more than 45 branches in key office markets. He created the firm's appraisal division and bolstered C&W's presence in the agency building services.

A graduate of LaSalle University School of Business in Philadelphia, from which he received a bachelor of science degree, Palombi pursued graduate coursework of Drexel University Graduate School of Business, also in Philadelphia.
