Breeze-Eastern to Provide Rescue Hoist for Augusta Bell AB 139 Helicopter.

Breeze-Eastern, a Division of TransTechnology Corporation (NYSE:TT), announced today that it has received a contract award to design, develop and supply an Electric Personnel Hoist System to Agusta, Italy.

The new rescue hoist system will be developed for and certified on the Agusta-Bell AB139 helicopter. The new AB139 is a product of the Bell Agusta Aerospace Corporation, a joint company formed by Agusta of Italy and Bell Helicopter Textron of the United States. The AB139 accommodates 15 passengers or 2.5 tons (5,500 lbs.) of useful load with two variants developed for the civilian and military markets. Completion of qualification and delivery of the first systems to Agusta, Italy is scheduled for December 2001.
