Breakthrough Management Group Launches Publishing Venture to Advance Total Performance Improvement.

Breakthrough Management Group (BMG), an internationally recognized leader in six sigma technology, training and consulting, today launched a publishing initiative to make available the knowledge and methodologies integrated in the company's total performance improvement (TPI) model. The endeavor is positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for business efficiency and waste reduction techniques from emerging markets and large global operations such as the U.S. military.

The new series of books revolves around the framework of total performance improvement. The books will be short treatises focused on individual components of the model, with emphasis on how each functions on its own, and is fully integrated with other processes in successful TPI implementations. Each book will begin with a short illustration of the TPI model, to underscore BMG's holistic approach to performance improvement. Planned volumes include topics such as strategic thinking and strategic planning (with Hoshin-Kanri methods), Lean, design for six sigma, process management and change leadership. The first book will focus on innovation and TRIZ and will be available for purchase through BMG at the end of March.

The launch coincides with the March release of a new book, "Six Sigma for Dummies," co-authored by DeCarlo. Designed as a solid introduction, the book covers the major tenets of six sigma process management in a format that is both readable and entertaining. "Six Sigma for Dummies" will be available from major retailers for $14.95.
