Braziliant idea bringing Pele to Ireland, Trap.

REPUBLIC of Ireland soccer boss Giovanni Trapattoni Giovanni Trapattoni (born March 17, 1939) is an Italian football coach and former player. He is a former coach of the Italian national team, currently in charge with Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.  was on the ball for charity yesterday.

The 70-year-old manager has arranged for one of the game's greatest ever players, Pele, to come to Ireland.

Launching An Evening With Pele, pictured, Trap said he can't wait to welcome the 68year-old World Cup winner to Dublin.

He added: "I am delighted Pele is coming and giving the people of Ireland an opportunity to share in his life and his memories.

"Pele is simply one of football's true greats."

Trap added it had been an "honour" to face Pele on the pitch twice.
